Does SuperAge store my health data on a server?

Updated: 158 days ago

No. SuperAge does not store your health data in a separate SuperAge cloud account.

SuperAge is designed around on-device processing and Apple Health. The app reads what it needs locally on your device to calculate results and show trends.

Apple explains how Health permissions and data sources work here: Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.

What this means

  • Core health processing happens on your device.
  • Your health dataset is not mirrored into a separate SuperAge cloud profile.
  • Apple Health remains the main hub for the health data the app uses on iPhone.
  • Your device security and Apple Health permissions still matter.

How to review or change access

  1. Open the Health app.
  2. Go to your profile picture or health settings.
  3. Open Apps or Data Sources & Access, depending on what you want to inspect.
  4. Select SuperAge to review what the app can read.
  5. Turn off access for any category you no longer want to share with SuperAge.

If you turn off access, related SuperAge metrics may become blank, stale, or less accurate because the app no longer has permission to read those fields.

What this does not mean

  • It does not mean device security stops mattering.
  • It does not mean Apple Health permissions are irrelevant.
  • It does not mean every health app on your phone follows the same data model as SuperAge.

Best way to think about it

Treat SuperAge as a local app that reads approved health data from Apple Health on your device instead of treating it like a service that builds a separate cloud health profile around you.
