Which blood biomarkers does SuperAge use for PhenoAge and KDM?

Updated: 154 days ago

SuperAge uses the published PhenoAge and KDM biomarker sets. It does not invent a private SuperAge-only blood panel.

What this means

  • You need the full required set for the model you want to run.
  • Familiar routine labs can still be insufficient if one required input is missing.
  • Exact naming, units, and readability still matter during import.
  • A report can be complete for one model and still incomplete for the other.

If your report is missing even one required marker, SuperAge may not be able to calculate that blood-test age. This is usually an input-completeness issue, not a hidden result.

PhenoAge inputs

PhenoAge uses chronological age plus nine biomarkers:

  • Albumin
  • Creatinine
  • Glucose
  • Alkaline phosphatase
  • C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)
  • White blood cell count
  • Lymphocyte percentage
  • Mean corpuscular volume (MCV)
  • Red cell distribution width (RDW)

KDM inputs

KDM uses chronological age plus ten biomarkers:

  • Albumin
  • Creatinine
  • Blood urea nitrogen
  • Uric acid
  • C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)
  • White blood cell count
  • HbA1c
  • Total cholesterol
  • Systolic blood pressure
  • Alkaline phosphatase

Both models use chronological age together with these biomarker sets. A report can be valid for one model and still be incomplete for the other if the required inputs do not fully overlap.

For marker-by-marker ranges, aliases, and biological-age context, use the blood biomarker reference library alongside this checklist.

Best way to use this list

  • Confirm the biomarker is present in the report.
  • Confirm the value is readable and not cut off.
  • Confirm the units make sense for the marker.
  • Confirm the report is complete rather than cropped or partial.

Use this page as a reference when checking whether a report includes the full marker set for the specific model you want to run.

Before uploading a report

  1. Use the full lab report, not a cropped screenshot.
  2. Make sure the page includes your values, units, and biomarker names.
  3. Check that the report contains every required marker for the model you want.
  4. Avoid uploading a report where values are blurred, cut off, or split across unclear images.
  5. If the same report contains multiple dates, make sure the values you want belong to the same blood draw.

If your lab uses different names

Some labs use slightly different labels. For example, white blood cell count may appear as WBC, and blood urea nitrogen may appear as BUN. The value still needs to be readable and mapped safely. If a label is ambiguous, SuperAge should not guess.

If you believe all required biomarkers are present but the app says the report is incomplete, email [email protected] with the model you tried to run and which marker the app could not detect. Do not send sensitive identifiers unless support specifically asks for a safer way to review the report.
